Chinese Business Visa

Eligibility

  • Issued to a person who is invited for a visit, investigation, lecture, to do business, scientific technological and cultural exchanges, short-term advanced studies or intern practices for no longer than a six (6) months time.
  • Master Visa Service can only serve applicants who are residents in the jurisdiction for the Chinese Consulate of Chicago. The Chicago jurisdiction includes the following states:
    • Colorado
    • Illinios
    • Indiana
    • Iowa
    • Kansas
    • Michigan
    • Minnesota
    • Missouri
    • Wisconsin

Requirements for US Citizens

  1. US valid/signed passport in good condition (must not expire in less than six months) with at least one blank visa pages (Note: pages 22, 23, 24 are NOT visa pages)
  2. One visa application form. The application must be typed in English, all fields and check boxes must be completely filled in, and the last page has to be signed. The Chinese Consulate will not accept any handwritten applications. Any handwritten applications sent to Windy City Visa Services can be typed for an additional cost of $15.
  3. One recent 2in X 2in passport style photo on high quality photo paper. Your head must face the camera directly with full face in view against a white backdrop. You must have a neutral facial expression or a natural smile, with both eyes open. No large earrings, glasses, hat or head covering unless it is for religious purposes. Do not use staples or wet glue to affix your photo to your application. Clear tape or glue stick is acceptable. Most drug stores or shipping centers offer passport photo services.
  4. Invitation letter from Chinese Company or Institution to be visited including the following items:
    • The invitation letter must be on company letterhead for the company in China,
    • Personal information of the applicant: name, gender, date of birth, nationality, and passport number
    • Information concerning the applicant’s visit to China: purpose of the visit, date of arrival and leaving, places to visit, relationship between the applicant and the inviter, and who will bear the cost of the applicant’s accommodations in China.
    • Full name, job title, address, and phone number of the contact at company in China
    • Signature of the inviting contact along with the company stamp

  6. Either a self addressed stamped envelope to return the visa to you or $25 for us to return your visa by FedEx
  7. Applicants who were born in China, must include a copy of a previous Chinese visa or their last original Chinese passport. Make sure the Chinese Name field (Part 1.2) is filled in on the Chinese visa application in Chinese characters. This is one place on the application where it is acceptable to hand write your answer.

  • If you have chosen to use US Post Office Regular mail or Priority Mail without Confirmation to send OR return your passport, we are not responsible for delays, lost mail and lost passports.
